Glass Ornament – Civil War Tribute

This beautiful blue and grey glass ball commemorates the end of the American Civil War. Although most people take a dim view of war in general, several very positive accomplishments came from this necessary endeavor, the two most notable being the abolition of slavery and the ending of the idea that states who wanted to be independent could secede from the Union.
